which first floor is reserved for the guests. It has two spacious
bedrooms, a large hallway, a modern restrooms and a veranda. And a well

Some of the main highlights of this farm house are an Antique barn,
which is made up of Anjily wood to store paddy and preserve the seeds
for the next season, a coconut processing unit and two fish ponds, one
by the side of the backwaters and other in the compound of the farm
house. A Palm leaf document is one of the important treasures of this
farm house. It is used in place of paper to write the documents. A sharp
metal knife is used for writing on it.

famous cultural heritage zone of Kerala i.e Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. |
Introduction
Kannankeril Homestay, is a double storied farm house and ranching, built in
an island village at the outskirt of Cochin. This beautiful farmhouse is
situated at the backdrop of tranquil backwaters and surrounded by the canopy
of coconut palms. It was built by an Indian naval officer named Lt. K.P Job
after his retirement. The house is beautifully decorated with the tiled
floors and furnished with tempting furniture. It has a sprawling courtyard
which merges with a vegetable garden.
Kannankeril Homestay is very close to the World Heritage zone- Fort Kochi
and Mattancherry. These are merely 10 km away from this farm house.
