Location : 34 km uphill of Dehradun, the capital of Uttaranchal.
Climate condition :The climate of Mussoorie is mild and entirely comfortable in summers, temperature wavering below 30º C. Winters are very cold, and temperature dips to freezing point.
Best time to visit : April -June, September - October

Thing to do
The best and first thing that strikes one's fascination is 34 km uphill drive from Dehradun to Mussoorie. The one hour drive let one love the exciting road routes, which are full of sharp turns and diversions. Beyond, there are heaps to see and indulge into while being at Mussoorie. Activities, such as horse riding, sightseeing places like lake, temple and beautiful peaks, and nature walk keep travellers engaged in viewing the natural beauty of its milieu.

Places of Interests
Kempty Fall: At the height of 4500 Ft, Kempty Fall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of the region. Always crowded by bathers, the fall gaives a very refreshing bath while being amidst the beautiful surrounding.
Gun Hill: The second highest peak of Mussoorie, Gun Hill gives a very beautiful view of Himalayn range of hills. Reaching to Gun Hill take one to ride through 400 meters of rope way, which is quite exciting.
Camel's Back Road: The 3 km of total distance of Camel's Back Road is famous for Horse Riding and Nature Walk. The view of Himalayan beauty from Camel's Back Road is thoroughly fascinating.
Company Garden: One of the most popular picnic spots of Mussoorie, Company Garden is also the most favourite picnic and excursion spot. The artificial lake and garden enables people enjoying Boating and Nature Walk, respectively.
Lakes and falls of Mussoorie: Jharipani Fall, Bhatta Fall, Mossey Fall and Mussorie Lake comprise, indeed, some of the best sought after destinations for Eco lovers. Enjoying nature walk and sightseeing of rich natural milieu make one fall in love with its amazing natural beauty.
Childer's lodge: The highest peak of the Mussoorie, Childer's Lodge gives a wonderful view of snow capped Himalayan hills. One can reach Childer's Lodge either on horse or even on foot.

Reaching there
By Air :Jolly grant airport of Dehradun is the nearest airport, which is just 58 km from Mussoorie, which is almost one and half hour drive.

By Rail : Dehradun railway station (34 km) is the nearest railhead of Mussoorie, taking one approx 45 minutes drive from the railway station. To reach Dehradun from Delhi, shatabdi express is the best option, taking approx 6 hours to reach.

By Road : Good rail link with Delhi make Mussoorie easily reached by road. Taking a drive from Delhi (269 km), one will be passing via Roorkee, Chhutmalpur and Dehradun. From Delhi, one can even catch bus running every night from Delhi to Mussoorie.
